Bleach by Tite Kubo

 Summary

Ichigo Kurosaki the main character in Bleach is a normal human born with the ability to see ghosts also referred to as hollows in the book. One night Ichigo's family is attacked by a hollow and he meets, Rukiya Kuchiki, a soul reaper. She has a duty to protect humans from hollows, so she goes to protect Ichigo and his family. While fighting this hollow she starts to lose and meets Ichigo. She is surprised that Ichigo can see her because he is a human and decides to lend him some of her power to help fight the hollow. Surprisingly Ichigo absorbs all of Rukiya's energy taking away her ability to be a soul reaper.  Now that Ichigo is a soul reaper himself he fights off the hollow and wins. It is now his duty to protect his family and other humans from the hollows until they find a way to give Rukiya back her soul reaper abilities.

Review

I think that Bleach by Tite Kurosaki is a great manga. When I read manga I look for action and thrill which Tite Kurosaki did a good job of in this manga. I liked how Ichigo became a soul reaper and the journeys he goes on. He tries his best to beat the hollows even when he has school, and its just interesting to see his and Rukiyas relationship progress over time. 

Rating

I rate this book a 9.2 out of 10. Some of the things I enjoyed about this book is all the action and seeing Ichigo progress as a character. I would recommend this book to people who enjoy reading manga that have never read Bleach and people who want to start reading manga who enjoy action and thrill.
