Summary

Bram Stoker's Gothic horror novel "Dracula" was released in 1897. In the book, Jonathan Harker, a young attorney, travels to Transylvania to assist Count Dracula, a wealthy nobleman, buy a property in England. Harker, however, quickly discovers that Dracula is a vampire and is imprisoned in his castle. Harker and the Dutch physician Van Helsing team up to battle the Count and his army of the undead while in England, Dracula starts preying on Mina, Harker's fiancée, and her companion Lucy.


Review

The book is known for its iconic portrayal of vampires and its mythology, which includes their susceptibility to sunlight as well as their ability to transform into bats. The famous work of horror literature "Dracula"—made into several movies, television programs, and other forms of media—explores themes including the nature of evil and the struggle between good and evil. I give this book an 8.9/10 and recommend it to anyone looking for a gothic thriller of a book.
