 Summary

Spy School: At Sea is the 8th book in Stuart Gibbs' Spy School series. The series starts with Ben Ripley, a seemingly average middle schooler, getting recruited by the CIA. He becomes a student at their secret academy, makes some friends, and before he knows it he is sent on his first mission. Each book in the series details a specific mission in his espionage career. In this book, he is tasked with hunting down evildoer Murray Hill aboard the world's largest cruise ship. Murray is thought to be plotting something evil aboard the ship, so Ben, his friends, and various other CIA and MI6 agents board the ship in search of answers. Throughout the story, they sleuth their way around the ship, until they finally find where Murray is hiding. Murray is cunning and deceitful, and the mission does not go exactly as planned. They end up in boat chases, get lost at sea, fly in a drug dealer's private jet, and go on many adventures. Will Ben be able to save the day? Read the book to find out.

Review

In my opinion, Spy School: At Sea is well written, humorous, full of suspense, and makes for a great read. The plot is mysterious and full of surprises, and I guarantee it will keep you on the edge of your seat. I strongly recommend this book to anyone who is looking for an interesting read. My only dislike is the start of the book, which is kind of slow and not as exciting as the rest of the book. The rest of the book is straight fire🔥.

All in all, I would give this book a solid 4.75/5 stars

  1. I've never actually read these books, but I have heard that they are good. I started the first one but never got to finish it. I might check out these books now that you vouch for them too.
