Naruto Volume 1 by Masashi Kishimoto

 Summary

Naruto, the main character of the manga Naruto, is an orphan troublemaker in the hidden leaf village. He goes around the town causing trouble and getting in trouble at his ninja academy. Naruto is optimistic but isn't the smartest. His teacher, Iruka sensei, is like an older brother to him and tries to keep NAruto out of trouble. Naruto causes a big ruckus because he failed the test to graduate from the academy. Iruka was the only one who knew where Naruto was saving him, but during this process, Iruka gets into trouble and Naruto saves him. He graduates and becomes a ninja because of this act. Soon all the students are put into squads of three and a sense. Naruto is in a group with Sasuke, Sakura, and Kakashi Sensei. Sasuke is also an orphan but he is the complete opposite of Naruto. He ends up becoming Naruto's rival and they keep trying to outwork each other. At the end of this volume, Kakashi Sensei put his squad through the bell test. During this test, something happens that changes the squad for the better.

Review
Naruto is originally a manga that was later animated into an anime. It is said to be in The big three with One Piece and Bleach, and I can see why. This manga has a lot of action in it like when Iruka has save Naruto and the bell test at the end. Kishimoto does a great job of showing up what it's like to be Naruto and the hardships he goes through. I really enjoyed this Manga and look forward to reading the next volume. I'm looking forward to seeing team 7 (Naruto's team) go on their first mission. Team 7 showed no teamwork at the beginning of the bell test but near the end, they started working together. It would be interesting to see how well their teamwork is going up against real enemy ninjas who are trying to kill them. Overall, I give the manga a 9/10 and recommend it to people who are interested in starting mangas or like shonen-style manga.
